Aperture: f/8
Shutter Speed: 1/125 sec

For this shot I went across the hall and borrowed my friend, Jeff's studio, camera, and I brought in a couple friends. I had it set on shutter priority, and took a couple shots and I liked this one the best.

Location: Rexburg, ID (Porter Park)
Aperture: f/ 2.8

My roommates went to play catch and I needed to get some shots, and I was just playing with the settings and this was on multi focus, single shot.

Title: Environmental Emie

Shutter Speed: 1/30 sec
Additional Info: Levels adjusted, black fill layer with a low opacity, and a vingette.

My niece came to have a sleepover during the Memorial Day weekend, and we had popsicles and watched a movie. I set the camera to scene selection, portrait and the exposure to -1.

Aperture: f/8
Shutter Speed: 1/100 sec

I really liked this angle, while we were at the train tracks. This was put on spot metering and multi exposure adjusted throughout the frame.

Title: Up the Spud Celler
Camera: Sony DSC- W330
Date: 16 May 2010 1:54 p.m.
Location: Outside of Rexburg, ID
Aperture: f/5
Shutter Speed: 1/800 sec
Additional Info: Cropped, Unedited.

Sorry, my action freeze from Bannack was not the best, so this was from last week.. I focused throughout the entire frame and also had the exposure set to 0.5.

Title: Leader of the Rebellion
Camera: Sony DSC- H50
Date: 21 May 2010 3:12 p.m.
Location: Bannack, MT
Aperture: f/4.5
Shutter Speed: 8 sec
Additional Info: Unedited

I set the camera to shutter priority, to take the shot eight seconds after the capture button was pushed. I had Lucas stand still, then move quickly out of the frame to create this ghost look.

Title: Candle Holder
Camera: Sony DSC- H50
Date: 21 May 2010 12:54 p.m.
Location: Bannack, MT
Aperture: f/2.7
Shutter Speed: 1/5

For this shot I had it on shutter priority because aperture priority was giving me problems at the time. I got really close so that I could get the angle that I wanted of the handle.

Title: Texture/ Window Blind
Camera: Sony DSC- H50
Date: 21 May 2010, 1:25 p.m.
Location: Bannack, MT
Aperture: f/7.1
Shutter Speed: 1/25 sec

This shot was taken inside of the school. It was a window blind that made the room darker than it was. The camera was set to aperture priority.

Edited Title: Counted Cross Stitch Handle

To get this look I had as the first layer the Handle, the overlay layer the Texture and I masked out areas where I wanted the texture to be less dominant. Then I added a layer to do a vignette, for a more finished look.

Title: Farmer Lucas
Camera: Sony DSC-W330
Date: 21 May 10:24 a.m.
Location: Dubois, ID
Aperture: f/8
Shutter Speed: 1/125 sec
Additional Info: I cropped this image and added two adjustment layers, one for curves and one for levels. His face was too dark originally so I altered it just a tiny bit to brighten it a little.

We had a lot of fun in this backyard, it had so many things. I liked the angle of having the tractor take up so much space to lead to Lucas's face. Again I had it on spot metering focused in on Lucas then moved my camera to get it where I
wanted it.

Title: Jared the Chevy Man
Camera: Sony DSC- W330
Date: 21 May 2010 10:24 a.m.
Location: Dubois, ID
Aperture: f/8
Shutter Speed: 1/125 sec
Additional Info: Unedited

For this shot I changed my setting to multi focus which means to have the entire frame in focus. I like how he is leaning to the right (our left) and it creates a contrasting line.

Title: Glass Out of Focus
Camera: Sony DSC- W330
Date: 21 May 2010 10:03 a.m.
Location: Dubois, ID Warehouse
Aperture: f/2.8
Shutter Speed: 1/160 sec
Additional Info: Unedited

Title: Glass In Focus
Camera: Sony DSC- W330
Date: 21 May 2010 10:05 a.m.
Location: Dubois, ID Warehouse
Aperture: f/2.8
Shutter Speed: 1/160 sec
Additional Info: Unedited

I thought that this would be an interesting shot. We were at a warehouse and there happened to be a hole in the glass, I liked the texture and amount of detail that was in it. I had my camera on spot metering and just changed what it needed to be focused on for each shot.

Title: Masonic Man
Camera: Sony DSC-H50
Date: 21 May 2010 12:54 p.m.
Location: Bannack, MT
Aperture: f/7.1
Shutter Speed: 1/25 sec

I had this on Aperture priority, and obviously my exposure was not the best in the original, but I put this image into Dynamic Photo, changed the brightness, light turner, clarity. I also put it on Corrot, I believe is what it was called, to give this type of effect.

Title: First Attempt
Camera: Sony DSC-H50
Date: 21 May 2010 2:07 p.m.
Location: Bannack, MT
Aperture: f/7.1
Shutter Speed: 1/50, 1/100, 1/200 sec

I was surprised because this was the first set of brackets I did an HDR shot with, and the first attempt of Dynamic Photo HDR, I was proud of myself. Anyways to set this up, I got really excited when I saw this scenery, and I thought it needed an additional person (Jamie) to help add to the photo.
It was on Aperture priority, then bracketed, I had to set the tripod up odd because the ground was not a flat surface. I changed where the light source was coming from and I chose Ultra-Contrast option and played with the saturation levels quite a bit.
Sorry Jamie that I accidentally called you Paige almost all day.

Title: Flower Surrounded by Horrible Exposure
Camera: Canon EQS Rebel T1i
Date: 8 May 2010, 8:16 p.m.
Location: Rexburg, ID
Aperture: f/5.6
Shutter Speed: 1/1000 sec

I took this shot with that shutter speed chosen, obviously the light did not meter in well. So I took it into Camera Raw and adjusted it, so that you could actually see the flower, I also wanted almost a Grayscale feel, yet I liked a little bit of color. I adjusted the highlights, lights, exposure, saturation and brightness.

Title: FishBowl Alley
Camera: Sony DSC-W330
Date: 16 May 2010, 1:15 p.m.
Location: Rexburg, ID
Aperture: f/8
Shutter Speed: 1/1250, 1/640, 1/1000, 1/1600

Additional Information: Adjustment Layer to change the curves, it was too dark in some places.

I was on a Sunday walk with my roommates, so I did not have a tripod. This alley way stood out to me with the green tree and the faint red stop sign in the background. I looked at my settings and made sure that everything should be in focus, and the exposure would be automatically set. I hand held my camera and hoped that everything would align, obviously overlapping in parts, but at least I did not cut anything out.

The first pano, is more of an after thought it is composed of 5 photos, stitched together within photoshop. This panoramic was taken in Bannack, Montana on 21 May 2010, in the evening. I had my point and shoot on the scene selection for landscape mode. I added an action to the image to give it more of a rustic look while keeping the colors as true as possible.

Title: Black Cow
Camera: Canon EOS Rebel T1i
Date: 9 May 2010 7:15 p.m.
Location: Ucon, ID
Aperture: f/5.6
Shutter Speed: 1/500 sec

This shot did not turn out so well, it was darker than what it really looked like. I think it would have been better if I was on the shutter speed priority to let in more light. So I brought this image into Adobe Photoshop CS4, unlocked the layer, made an adjustable layer to change the RGB curve. Then I masked out some of the edges of where the fence post is located.

Edited Title: Clear Black Cow

Title: Sunshine Yellow
Camera: Canon EOS Rebel T1i
Date: 8 May 2010 8:13 a.m.
Location: Rexburg, ID (BYU-Idaho Campus)
Aperture: f/9
Shutter Speed: 1/40 sec

This picture I "converted to smart filter" within Adobe Photoshop CS4. I looked through the filter gallery, and decided on the Poster Edges filter. It came up with a free mask, so I masked out the yellow flower head so the rest of the picture is posterized.

Edited title: Cartoon Yellow Sunshine

Title: Daffy Yellow
Camera: Canon EOS Rebel T1i
Date: 8 May 2010 8:13 p.m.
Location: Rexburg, ID (BYUI Campus)
Aperture: f/9
Shutter Speed: 1/60 sec

For this picture I got down on my knees to get a good angle. I set the camera to aperture priority mode, so that I could get the focus I wanted, luckily the shutter speed was 1/60 sec, so that it let in an adequate amount of light.

Title: Calla
Camera: Canon EOS Rebel T1i
Date: 8 May 2010 8:28 p.m.
Location: Rexburg, ID (BYUI Campus)
Aperture: f/5.6
Shutter Speed: 1/15 sec

I think I was having fun playing with the settings and going back and forth between aperture and shutter speed priority. This shot was taken in aperture priority mode, at a 5.6, in all reality to see what it would do. This was the first time that I had ever been in the greenhouses, and it is full of flowers that I have not seen, so it was great to find these.

Title: The Simple Life
Camera: Canon EOS Rebel T1i
Date: 9 May 2010 7:11 p.m.
Location: Ucon, ID
Aperture: f/5.6
Shutter Speed: 1/200 sec
Additional Information: I did change the RGB curve, so that it was not as bright, I wanted it to feel more dull to go with the colors of the cows. I also cropped this image.

This picture has got to be one of my favorites, just because it was slightly an accident. When I was looking through the lens, the cow's tongue happened to not be visible. Judging by the pictures I have taken I think that aperture priority mode is my absolute favorite to take pictures with.

Title: 1, 2, 3
Camera: Canon EOS Rebel T1i
Date: 9 May 2010 7:25 p.m.
Location: Ucon, ID
Aperture: f/5.6
Shutter Speed: 1/50 sec

I loved the natural "stacking" that these tulips aligned themselves as. I also liked the spark of red in the background. Again this was taken in aperture priority mode.

Title- MM
Date- May 3, 2010 3:58 p.m.
Location- Rexburg, ID
Aperture- f/2.8
Shutter Speed- 1/60 sec
This shot, sliding type, and a couple boxes of slight transparency and color is what made this edit what is it today, "M, M, Good".

Title- Stone Overlay
Date- May 3, 2010 1:41 p.m.
Location- The Gardens (BYU-I Campus) Rexburg, ID
Aperture- f/4.5

Title- Blue House Original
Date- May 3, 2010 6:23 p.m.
Location- 156 S. Rexburg, ID
Aperture- f/2.8
Shutter Speed- 1/400 sec

Put those two shots together and you get the image I call "Cracked House". I added a transparent layer and then a mask, changed the opacity, and this is what I got. It reminds me of Halloween, with how dark it is and the cracks on the door and stairs.

Title- Emergency Phone
Date- May 3, 2010 1:42 p.m.
Location- The Gardens (BYU-Idaho Campus) Rexburg, ID
Aperture- f/8
Shutter Speed- 1/1600 sec
This photo was originally titled "Rape Pole" because of how these phone towers were described to me, so I was going to name it that for ironic purposes but decided against it.

Title- Scoreboard
Date- May 3, 2010 6:16 p.m.
Location- BYU-I Campus, Rexburg, ID
Aperture- f/4.5
Shutter Speed- 1/320 sec
I really liked how the blue was on the scoreboard as well as the track. I took a couple of shots of it so that I could show the depth of field. The other one is also posted titled "The Fence".

Title- The Fence
Date- May 3, 2010 6:16 p.m.
Location- BYU-I Campus, Rexburg, ID
Aperture- f/4.5
Shutter Speed- 1/250 sec

Title- Blue House
Date- May 3, 2010 6:21 p.m.
Location- Rexburg, ID
Aperture- f/4
Shutter Speed- 1/640 sec
With Blue House I slightly changed the blue curve to dim the shadow of the tree a little and enhance the blue a tad. I originally went to take a shot of the house across the street but I saw this one and decided to take some additional shots as well.

Title- Lone Bike
Date- May 3, 2010 4:46 p.m.
Location- Outside of the Testing Center (BYU-I Campus) Rexburg, ID
Aperture- f/2.7
Shutter Speed- 1/640 sec
I was amazed at how much blue I could find around my entire day! Blues bikes, houses, stadiums, tracks, cars, flowers, signs, paint, the list goes on. Hopefully I found some things that were original.
