Title: Flower Surrounded by Horrible Exposure
Camera: Canon EQS Rebel T1i
Date: 8 May 2010, 8:16 p.m.
Location: Rexburg, ID
Aperture: f/5.6
Shutter Speed: 1/1000 sec
I took this shot with that shutter speed chosen, obviously the light did not meter in well. So I took it into Camera Raw and adjusted it, so that you could actually see the flower, I also wanted almost a Grayscale feel, yet I liked a little bit of color. I adjusted the highlights, lights, exposure, saturation and brightness.

Isn't camera raw amazing and completely helpful when it comes to tasks like that. I know that is one of the reasons why I only shoot in raw, to make sure I don't screw up the exposure.
Awesome idea, I also love that the image wasn't ruined or grainy by using raw to edit it.
Thank goodness for camera raw! Photographers before photoshop and camera raw would be so jealous! I'm glad that it worked out for you. I hope you enjoy editing in raw!
Nice!! You have just proven to me that Camera Raw is even more amazing then I originally thought! I like that you chose that picture to play with, to show some other things camera raw can do besides the normal stuff.
It's like a night and day difference! Extreme. Way to salvage.
