To set these up I want really good bokeh on the flowers so I got up really close and focus in on the flowers. For the landscape I wanted everything in focus so I did multi focus with a multi exposure. I liked how you can see how dark the clouds are then its light on the other side of the photo.

For the first picture, this is a blended photolusion. I wanted Jess to look as if she were sitting on the Grand Teton, and it fit perfectly! I matched colored her with the Tetons as the source. Then I masked out the ares that I did not want (chair, shoes, etc..), and then I changed the levels.

For this picture I wanted it to seem as if it was an opposite day, I put the feet on the keys as if she were playing and the hands on the pedals as if waiting for the right time to push on one. I set this up by taking my camera off of the burst setting and off of the twilight setting and changed it back to my regular settings of multi exposure and multi focus.

I know this is not really a photolusion, but I wanted it include it somewhere. I wanted this shot to look like it was pouring and it was just on one person instead of everywhere. I added an unsharpen mask then duplicated the layer and added the gausian blur and I masked out the ares where I wanted it to be in focus. I set up the shot with 3 different point and shoots, so that I would have multiple angles and at least one of them would get a descent shot. With this camera I put it on scene selection of landscape so that it would get everything in focus, because I really wanted that water in focus instead of blurry. And then a car just passed us so that is what gave off the reddish light which I thought was a nice effect.

This assignment crept up on me, everyday, I thought about it but things kept on coming up so I procrastinated. Everything but the sunset was taken in my bathroom. The first and third photos were shish kabob sticks that I lit up with matches. The first one I moved the camera around while the third one I had Jess "paint" circles with them. The last picture was two lights that you punch to turn on, and again I had Jess "paint" a heart while I tried to get a different angle on it. The sunset was from when we went to Bannack, it probably does not relate to light, but I thought it looked good in this category.

Photo a Day Template

In the template I designed, I wanted it to look as if it were a calendar. It was nice since I started on the 1st of June. I used the dimensions of 5540 px wide x 2145 px high that were given in the instructions. Then I inserted a solid fill layer, made shapes, added text, and that basically made my template. To add the pictures I put each individual photo above the shape that I wanted it to go in. Next, I sized it down around the size it needed to be, right clicked the layer and choose 'create clipping mask' . Then I could really see what was inside the shape, and size it appropriately. I continued this until each shape was filled. Then I added the text for each number. To post on the blog, I sized it down to the long side at 700 px.

This week things were going crazy so sometimes I would forget to take pictures until right before I went to bed. I used my point and shoot for all of these pictures and would only change the setting of the focus, whether it was multi focus or spot. I love the photo of the rainbow at West Yellowstone, we walked out of the PlayMill Theatre and it was beautiful! It was a double but I did not get a descent photo where they both looked good. I also like the picture of Kirk setting up the slackline for FHE, where the slackline is out of focus but he is.

In this shot I had it on normal program, and I was trying to get some good action shots so I had it on multi focus so that it would have a fast shutter speed, however I was not as successful as I had hoped. But here I matched the color from a picture that I really liked the color in where in the other in seemed drained/ less vibrant.

Here I think it seems like a rough edge of the original blue, I turned the fuzziness option all the way up to 200, yet it still seems as if the edges wanted the original instead of the replaced yellow.

This I feel was just a minor edit, Taylor had a tiny red spot right below her left eye. I used the clone tool to get rid of it and blend it in with the rest of her skin. I added a vingette and altered the levels as well.
